He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 NIV. What's all this austerity rubbish?

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 NIV. I'm sure they've got lots of justification for their austerity arguments but Satan is good at arguing. Until he meets Jesus.

Christianity is often counter-cultural: so give more, if someone does a job for you pay them a bit extra, up your giving to the poor, up your giving to the church. Don't give into Satan's lies: whilst all around us people are crying austerity, let us rejoice and say look how good our God is to us.
